This is the craycrafts grandson Liam. He's the most hipster child I've ever met.
We taught a girl named april the plan of salvation with a little twist this week and it was actually extremely effective and helped us focus on the parts that really matter for people first learning. as a missionary who grew up in the church this is the "lesson of restraint" my mission prep teacher used to call it. we know so many details that simply are not essential to know for people first learning this information.
awkward moment... so yeah I love taking pictures. this is an apartment complex that we went to last week and it was barn themed it was so cool. So no one answered the door at the potentials house so we looked to see which of the next doors was closest and I stopped to take a picture.. then the door we had just knocked opened and this man was holding a garbage bag (guess he thought we'd already left) he hurrys and slams the door shut again!! ... we just stood there for a second and then couldn't help but start giggling! it was so funny! we'll try them again later
time goes so insanely fast on a mission!! I'm about 10 months out now!! crazy! a missionary told me it's like a house. the first few months take forever, then it goes a little faster then some missionaries have a little chimney and then the last few months CRUSE. I believe it!! it all seems like it's going so fast!! sloooow down! haha
we went to smithfield (known as the ham capital of the world... ps we're talking country ham not like ham ham that you buy at the grocery store:) yep that middle one was "cured" in 1902, but missed the shipment so the factory person kept it to see how long it would last with his method. in 1920 he decided to call it his pet ham and took it to fairs and stuff like that.....
WE FOUND A LITTLE FREE LIBRARY!
WE FOUND A LITTLE FREE LIBRARY! this has been my life goal, I LOVE books!!! so of course we had to take advantage of the missionary opportunity, so kenzie's "elder flat stanley" helped us put a book of mormon in there! He's a good little missionary!
